New Energy Tech Consumer Code

The New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC for short) is the evolution of compliance in our industry. Teho is incredibly proud of our work and industry we work in and thus are a proud signatory of the code.

The NETCC was launched on the 1st of February 2023 to help cover the emerging world of new energy technology that we live in. While the old CEC code was great, they needed a new code to better cover what the energy market looks like today.

As part of of the NETCC (for those wondering, most people in the industry and calling it the NET-C-C net see see phonetically) there were guides created for consumers to help ensure everyone has access to good information about the products they are buying. Teho has always been committed to consumer education, especially in a space like renewable energy that is new and changing rapidly. That is actually one of the reasons we started (check out some of our educational content in our resources or YouTube channel).

To make life simple, we have uploaded the relevant guides below for you to read:

Buying a solar PV system

Using a solar PV system

Buying battery storage

Using battery storage

Energy monitoring

Going off-grid

If you would like a physical copy of a guide, please let us know and we will happily have one sent out. Also, heads up, we don’t do off-grid but we put the guide from the NETCC in their just in case you are thinking about it.

If you are interested to learn more about the code, simply visit the NETCC website.

For us, it is important to be advocates for the industry we work in and love and for us, being part of the NETCC is exactly that.
