Founded in 1986, Risen has proven to hang around for a while. The growth of Rise hasn’t been as impressive as some of the other chinese solar panel manufacturers but that isn’t always a bad thing.
Risen as a manufacturer produces around 8 + GW, while their own publications suggest they have the capacity to produce upwards of 11GW, which makes them one of the largest in the world.
Here in Australia Risen has 2 offers on the market, their Risen Jager Plus series and their Risen Standard Half-Cut and Full Cells Panels.
The Risen Jager Plus is their more “premium” option relative to their Risen Standard Half-Cut and Full Cells Panels.
The Risen Standard Half-Cut and Full Cells Panels is a more cost effective option, which means they aren’t quite as good as the Jager Plus panels.
The Risen Jager Plus solar panels are all monocrystalline solar panels, while the Risen Standard Half-Cut and Full Cells Panels come with both polycrystalline and monocrystalline options.
Each product warranty for each product offering is different. The Risen Standard Half-Cut and Full Cells Panels sit with a 12 year product warranty while the Jager Plus series has a slightly longer product warranty of 15 years.
The performance warranty on both the Jager Plus Series and the Risen Standard Half-Cut and Full Cells Panels is over 25 years.
From what we can see both modules do not specify the nominal output at the first year, the degradation and the 25 year output.
Risen solar is certainly a chinese solar company with nearly all their manufacturing plants located in China except a smaller manufacturing plant in Vietnam.
Risen do have an Australian office in Melbourne, which is on Ricketts Rd, Mount Waverley VIC 3149. Having an Australian office is extremely important to us, having access to local support if needed.
The Risen solar panel isn’t very exciting when it comes to the aesthetics. If you can picture a standard solar panel, that’s what Risen looks like. For those who are big on aesthetics we suggest look over Risen and at other options. If you don’t mind the look of the solar panel, Risen will be a suitable option for price sensitive customers relative to premium options on the market.
