Growatt New Energy, more commonly known as just Growatt is a Chinese manufacturer of solar inverters. Growatt was founded in 2010 with its headquarters being located in Shenzhen, China. By 2011 it was reported that Growatt was China’s largest solar inverter exporter during that time. Growatt has now shipped upwards of 1.7 million inverters worldwide.
Growatt offers three inverters, single phase, three phase and hybrid.
Single Phase – this inverter is commonly installed across residential sites.
Three Phase – this inverter is commonly installed across residential and commercial sites.
Hybrid – the hybrid version of the Growatt inverter is to be coupled with a DC battery unit.
Growatt is a cheaper inverter relative to others on the market and have had their reliability questioned from time to time. Their inverter range is suitable for solar installations across Australia but is certainly considered as an entry level inverter.
The Growatt inverter monitoring application from all reports does the job when it comes to understanding your solar systems generation.
The Growatt inverter range has a 5 year warranty which is extendable to 10 years.
As we understand it, all of Growatts manufacturing is in China in various locations.

The Growatt inverter is white with rounded edges. It’s generally a very basic looking inverter and won’t stand out too much when installed in a garage or outside. It’s what you expect an inverter to look like.
